Open Merge & Organize PDF → and load the built-in demo. It contains three pages: pages 1 and 3 are portrait, page 2 is landscape. Each page is labelled PAGE 1, PAGE 2, or PAGE 3 near the bottom.
A repeatable editing exercise
- Move the third page to the front. The visible labels should read PAGE 3, PAGE 1, PAGE 2.
- Rotate the original second page clockwise once. Its preview orientation should change.
- Export and open the PDF. Confirm there are still three pages and that their order and orientation match the preview.
- Import the original demo again and keep range 1-2. Export should contain two pages. Ranges refer to current list positions; the PAGE label printed inside each page is not rewritten.
This exercise checks that exported order matches the workspace. For a real document, also inspect the cover, contents, appendices, and printed page numbers.
How this differs from image-based compression
The organizer copies source PDF pages into the new document with the selected order and rotation. It does not deliberately rasterize all text as the image-based compressor does. Document-level forms, attachments, outlines, and certificate signatures are not guaranteed to survive. Keep the original and inspect any output used for signing, forms, or archiving.
When adding images
PNG, JPG, and WebP files can become PDF pages using the tool’s page-fitting rules. They do not automatically gain searchable text. OCR can produce a separate text draft, which needs proofreading.
Input limits and failures
Each file may be up to 60 MB; the combined source limit is 180 MB with at most 300 pages. Encrypted PDFs are unsupported. Unreadable files produce errors while successfully imported pages remain available to inspect. Large images and long documents can exhaust browser memory; smaller batches reduce the memory needed at once.
Export creates a new file and does not overwrite the original PDF on your device. Download it, open it, and check it before deciding what to keep.
