OMNIKIT

Convert images between JPG, PNG, and WebP

Choose JPG for broad compatibility and photographic content, PNG for lossless graphics and transparency, or WebP for compact images in modern browsers and applications. Every output is newly encoded using the selected format.

HEIC and HEIF support depends on whether your browser can decode the source image. When it can, OmniKit can export that image to JPG, PNG, or WebP without sending it to a conversion server.

FAQ

Image conversion questions

Which format should I choose?

Use JPG for photos and maximum compatibility, PNG when transparency or lossless graphics matter, and WebP when smaller web-ready files are the priority.

What happens to a transparent PNG converted to JPG?

JPG has no alpha channel. OmniKit fills transparent pixels with white before encoding the JPG file.

Does conversion preserve EXIF metadata?

No. The browser creates a new file from decoded pixels, so common EXIF location, camera, and capture information is not copied.
