Remove EXIF and location metadata from photos
Photos can contain invisible information such as GPS coordinates, camera make and model, lens settings, software names, capture dates, captions, or author fields. OmniKit decodes the visible pixels and exports a new file rather than copying the original metadata blocks.
The output keeps the source dimensions. JPG, PNG, and WebP inputs keep their format when the browser supports that encoder; a browser-readable HEIC or HEIF image is exported as JPG. Re-encoding means the output bytes will differ from the original.

Which metadata is removed?
Because the browser exports a new file from decoded pixels, common EXIF, GPS, IPTC, XMP, camera, lens, author, software, and capture-time fields are not copied.
Does removing metadata reduce quality?
PNG is re-encoded losslessly. JPG and WebP use high-quality lossy encoding, so the visible result should remain close but is not byte-for-byte identical.
Does the tool remove private information visible in the image?
No. It removes embedded metadata only. Faces, addresses, documents, license plates, and other visible content remain in the picture.
